2007 Pool Opening & Maintenance Rates
We at North Shore
Pool & Spa are very happy to welcome our wonderful customers to the
2007 swimming pool season. We have tried to make the pool and spa
scheduling process easier, with fewer forms to read and fill out. In
some cases, we’ve already filled out the scheduling sheet for you
and have indicated your preferred opening date from last year. Of
course, if there are any changes you wish to make, please feel free
to update the information.
It is our intention to give you not only the finest service
available but to make “owning water” as pleasurable for you as
possible this season and every season to come.

debris. Acid wash sides and floor of pool (10 gallons of acid is
included in the opening price). Set up deck and filter equipment.
Test and insert underwater lights. Start the pool filling. When the
customer notifies North Shore that the pool is filled¬¬ (water level
must be up to the middle of the skimmer), a service technician will
return to start the filter system and to adjust water chemistry.
Chemicals for start up are not included in this opening price. An
hourly rate of $95 per man-hour plus materials will be charged for
all repairs deemed necessary at the time of the opening for a

Portable Spa Opening or Drain, Clean & Fill Time & Materials @ $95
per hour
Because spas differ greatly depending upon size and equipment
configuration, North Shore performs spa openings on a Time &
Material basis. If your spa has been operating properly all winter,
you may only need our less time consuming Drain, Clean & Fill
service. An hourly rate of $90 per man-hour plus materials will be
charged for all repairs deemed necessary at the time of the opening
for a properly functioning spa. ($100 deposit required, refundable
upon a 24-hour cancellation notice.)
Repair Calls $110 minimum charge / $98 per man hour after first
hour
Many problems can be solved through telephone consultation. However,
when a service call is required, it will be scheduled for the next
available appointment, which is usually the following workday. We
welcome the opportunity to provide estimates for any major repairs,
new equipment, pool painting, tiling, and many other services. North
Shore Pool & Spa prides itself on prompt, dependable service and
experienced personnel.
Please be advised that North Shore Pool & Spa is not responsible for
silcocks connected to domestic water lines or for the operation of
automatic swimming pool covers.
MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR 2007
Our goal at North Shore Pool & Spa is to help you get the most
enjoyment out of your swimming pool or spa each season. We help you
keep up with your ever-changing water chemistry, which must be
balanced consistently to prevent eye or skin irritation, equipment
corrosion, and unsanitary water conditions. As we are attending to
the water, we can perform a variety of routine maintenance tasks,
such as vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and cleaning the grease line.
Most important of all, you will have a trained service technician
checking over the entire pool operation on a regular basis.
The following are our most popular maintenance plans. We can also
set up a program tailored to your specific needs. Please notify us
early to reserve a spot on one of our service routes. Maintenance
service chemicals are not included in the weekly service price. We
use our own brand of chemicals for quality control and only charge
you for the amount used.
PLAN I WEEKLY CHEMICAL CHECK $80 per visit
This plan is a good choice for those who like to do some of your own
maintenance or who wish to augment an automatic pool cleaning
system. Please note: Chemical checks are performed only on a Monday
or Tuesday.
• Check and adjust the water chemistry
• Backwash the filter
• Clean the baskets and hair & lint traps
• Perform very minor repairs
• Report any operational malfunctions or chemical shortages
PLAN II WEEKLY FULL SERVICE $90 per visit
This is our most popular maintenance plan, which includes all the
weekly routine tasks necessary to ensure a sparkling, sanitary, and
well-maintained swimming pool. Full Service is performed only on
weekdays Monday thru Friday.
Chemical Check described in Plan I above, PLUS:
• Vacuum the bottom of the pool
• Skim the water surface
• Brush the walls and floor
• Clean the grease line from the pool walls
PLAN III COMBINATION: PLAN I CHEMICAL CHECK PLUS PLAN II FULL
SERVICE $110 per week
For a large or hard-to-maintain pool, we suggest Plan III which
consists of one Chemical Check early in the week and one Full
Service late in the week, including all the tasks listed above. Plan
III services performed Mon/Thurs or Tues/Fri only.
PLAN IV FULL SERVICE TWICE WEEKLY $125 per week
For our most discriminating pool owners, we suggest out most
comprehensive service–Plan II, on a twice-weekly basis. This program
will bring a service technician to your pool early in the week for a
post-weekend cleaning, and again at the end of the week so that the
pool is ready for the weekend. Plan IV services performed Mon/Thurs
or Tues/Fri only.
PLAN V SPA FULL SERVICE $65 per visit
Due to the difference in water volume and temperature between
swimming pools and spas. Spas require a little more attention. Water
chemistry and sanitizer levels are constantly changing. This is a
great plan and quite a time saver for the homeowners’ task in
maintaining a clean, clear and healthy spa environment.
• Vacuum interior bottom of spa
• Skim the water surface
• Clean the grease line form the spa walls
• Remove and clean the spa filters and exterior of the spa cover
• Check and adjust the water chemistry |
